My name is Afek Peretz, a Staff Sergeant in Platoon B – a combat platoon within Battalion 8211, "Lions of Samaria."

We are a reserve combat battalion – ordinary people who in civilian life are fathers, husbands, employees, and students, yet when the call comes, they leave everything behind to defend this country.

Since October 7th, we have completed 5 reserve duty rotations, with hundreds of combat days in a demanding and complex sector. We are now entering yet another rotation – with no end date in sight – and this Passover, we will spend the holiday at our base, far from home and family.

The army does everything within its power, but when we manage to create something beyond the standard – something warm and personal – you can see it in the soldiers' eyes. That spark is worth everything.

🙏 And so, we are turning to you.

We are asking for your help in putting together a meaningful and dignified Passover Seder for our soldiers – one that gives them a moment of warmth, belonging, and family, even within the walls of a military base.
